Details of the Incident

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Shukla, the incident occurred near Baruwadiha village in the Barhiyarapur police jurisdiction, where a pickup truck allegedly collided with an e-rickshaw with the intent to kill. The driver of the e-rickshaw died at the scene, while four passengers sustained injuries.


Identification of Suspects

The suspects have been identified as Khursheed Shah from Kushinagar district and Munab Ali from Gopalganj district in Bihar. Following the incident, police arrived at the scene and took both suspects into custody, subsequently registering a case under sections 103 (murder) and 109 (attempted murder) of the Indian Penal Code.


Police Encounter

On Thursday night, police returned to the scene to search for the vehicle involved in the crime. During this operation, the suspects allegedly attempted to flee by firing shots from a country-made firearm hidden in the truck. In response, police fired back, injuring both suspects in their legs.
