What Happened?

Brigadier Parminder Singh Aurora and his 23-year-old son Tejas Aurora reported that they were assaulted in the presence of a police officer, and their complaint was not acted upon promptly at the Vasant Vihar police station. Aurora recounted that around 10 PM, while they were out for a walk, they noticed two men drinking in a parked Mercedes-Benz car. Believing they were not from their neighborhood, Aurora requested them to refrain from drinking in public. Allegedly, the men refused to comply. Following this, Aurora contacted the police, and a junior officer arrived at the scene. The officer listened to the complaint but stated that no action could be taken.

Shortly thereafter, it was reported that about seven to eight individuals arrived and began attacking his son, pushing him as well. Aurora noted that the police officer merely stood by without intervening. The brigadier's wife also mentioned that when she attempted to intervene to protect her husband and son, she was met with comments that were disrespectful.
