Trump's Uncertainty on Potential Military Action Against Iran
Trump's Remarks on Iran
On Wednesday, President Donald Trump refrained from confirming whether the United States would carry out a military strike on Iran.
During a press interaction, Trump stated, “I may do it, I may not do it, nobody knows what I’m going to do.” He further commented, “Iran has got a lot of trouble,” and suggested that Iran could have avoided the situation by communicating with him earlier.
Discussion on Pakistan
When questioned about his recent meeting with Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir, Trump claimed, “I stopped the war. I love Pakistan. I think Modi is a fantastic man. I spoke to him last night. We are going to make a trade deal with PM Modi. I stopped the war between Pakistan and India.” He emphasized the importance of peace between the two nuclear nations.
Iran's Response
Earlier, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a warning to Israel, stating that the “Zionist regime made a grave mistake” and would face repercussions for its actions.
The Zionist regime’s malicious attack on our country took place at a time when Iranian officials were indirectly engaged in negotiations with the US side. There was no indication on the part of Iran that signaled a military move.

Khamenei asserted that Iran would not forget the sacrifices of its martyrs and would not remain silent against violations of its airspace. He declared that Iran would resist both imposed war and peace.
Consequences of US Intervention
He warned that any military intervention by the US would lead to severe consequences, stating, “The US entering in this matter [war] is 100% to its own detriment.”
The US entering in this matter [war] is 100% to its own detriment. The damage it will suffer will be far greater than any harm that Iran may encounter.

Khamenei also vowed to retaliate strongly against Israeli attacks, emphasizing that Iran would show no mercy to the “terrorist Zionist regime.”
