Trump's Stance on Iran Negotiations

Washington: President Donald Trump has indicated his willingness to resume military action against Iran if diplomatic discussions do not yield positive results.

During an interview on CNBC's "Squawk Box," Trump was directly questioned about the possibility of renewing strikes if the upcoming negotiations in Islamabad fail to progress.

"I anticipate that we might need to bomb again because I believe that sets a stronger tone for our approach," Trump stated. "The military is fully prepared and eager to act," he added.

When asked if he would maintain the ceasefire contingent on advancements in the Iran talks, Trump replied, "I prefer not to extend it. Time is not on our side." He emphasized that Iran "must engage in negotiations as they have a choice to make."

However, the exact expiration date of the ceasefire remains ambiguous. While the pause was initially set to end on Tuesday night, Trump later informed Bloomberg News that it would actually conclude on Wednesday night.
