Trump Proposes Conditions for Middle East Peace Amid Ongoing Tensions
Trump's Strong Stance on Iran and Middle East Peace
Washington DC: President of the United States, Donald Trump, recently shared a detailed post on Truth Social, suggesting potential resolutions to the ongoing Middle East crisis. He outlined several prerequisites related to Iran's nuclear activities, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and the removal of a naval blockade in this vital waterway. Trump asserted that the US would collaborate with Iran and international organizations to eliminate enriched nuclear materials that are currently hidden underground. He noted that a meeting is underway to finalize the peace agreement concerning Iran.
Trump emphasized, "Iran must commit to never developing a nuclear weapon. The Strait of Hormuz should be opened immediately for unrestricted shipping, without tolls. Any underwater mines must be cleared, and we have already detonated several using our advanced mine-sweeping technology. Iran will also need to ensure the removal or detonation of any remaining mines, which should be minimal!"
He added, "Ships that have been stranded due to our unprecedented naval blockade can now begin their journey home! Please send my regards to your loved ones! The enriched nuclear material, often referred to as 'Nuclear Dust,' buried under collapsed mountains from our B2 Bomber strikes, will be excavated by the United States, in cooperation with Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, and subsequently destroyed."
Trump also clarified that no Iranian assets would be released at this time, stating, "No funds will be exchanged until further notice. Other less significant items have been agreed upon. I will be meeting in the Situation Room to finalize decisions."
Details of the Proposed Memorandum of Understanding:Reports indicate that the draft memorandum of understanding aims to create a 60-day framework to ease tensions and resolve long-standing issues. A key aspect of this proposal involves the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial global energy route. The draft suggests ensuring unrestricted shipping through the waterway, free from tolls or disruptions to commercial vessels.
Additionally, Iran would be expected to clear mines from the Strait within 30 days, while the United States would gradually lift its naval blockade as commercial shipping resumes normal operations. The framework also includes Iran's commitment to refrain from pursuing nuclear weapons.
