Trump Issues Stark Warning to Iran Over Hormuz Strait

In New Delhi, amidst claims of negotiations with Iran, Trump has once again issued a severe threat regarding attacks on Iran's oil and power facilities. He stated that Iran must immediately open the Hormuz Strait, or the United States will obliterate its power plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island.

On his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump remarked, 'The United States is engaged in serious discussions with a new and more sensible regime to end military operations in Iran. There has been significant progress, but if an agreement is not reached soon—something that is likely to happen—and if the Hormuz Strait is not opened for trade immediately, we will conclude our presence in Iran by destroying all their power plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island.'

Trump reiterated his threat, stating, 'This will be revenge for our many soldiers and others who were brutally killed by Iran during the 47 years of terror under the old regime.' Meanwhile, Iran has threatened to target the homes of American and Israeli officials. Ibrahim Zulfiqari, spokesperson for Iran's joint military command, declared that the residences of U.S. and Israeli officials can now be considered legitimate targets.

It is important to note that tensions between the U.S. and Iran continue to escalate. The conflict has now entered its 31st day, with neither side willing to back down. However, Trump claims that negotiations with Iran are ongoing and a resolution may soon be reached.

Iran has stated that it is not attempting to acquire nuclear weapons but is considering its position regarding the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Ismail Baqai, spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, asserted that the Islamic Republic has never sought nuclear weapons nor has it ever attempted to do so.
