US President's Bold Claims on Iran's Surrender

Washington DC: As the Middle East conflict reached its eighth day, President Donald Trump asserted on Saturday (March 7) that Iran has capitulated and expressed remorse to its regional neighbors. He further claimed that Tehran has vowed to refrain from attacking Gulf nations, a promise he attributed to the “relentless” military actions by the US and Israel. Trump stated, “Iran, which is being beaten severely, has apologized and surrendered to its Middle Eastern neighbors, pledging not to engage in hostilities against them anymore. This commitment was made solely due to the unyielding US and Israeli offensive. For the first time in thousands of years, Iran has faced defeat against its neighboring countries.”

Trump noted that his allies in the region, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, have expressed gratitude towards him. He referred to Iran as the “loser of the Middle East,” saying, “They have said, ‘Thank you, President Trump.’ I replied, ‘You’re welcome!’ Iran is no longer the ‘Bully of the Middle East’; they are now ‘THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST,’ and this status will persist for decades unless they surrender or, more likely, face total collapse!”

These comments followed a statement from Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, who indicated that the country would cease attacks on neighboring nations, suggesting a potential easing of regional tensions. Pezeshkian remarked that Iran would not target its neighbors unless provoked by an attack from their territories.

Key Statement from the Iranian President:

“The temporary leadership council announced yesterday that there will be no further attacks on neighboring countries and no missile launches unless those countries initiate an attack against Iran,” Pezeshkian stated. He mentioned that this decision was ratified by the interim leadership council a day prior and extended apologies to neighboring nations for recent military actions. “I apologize to the neighboring countries. We have no intention of invading others,” he added.

Heightened tensions in the Middle East followed airstrikes by the US and Israel on Iran on February 28, which resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking officials, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran launched strikes against Israel and US military installations in the Gulf, further intensifying the conflict.
