A frightening incident occurred on the Bairagarh–Sach Pass–Killar road close to Bagotu in the Churah subdivision of Chamba district when a truck lost control. The vehicle, which was making its way from Tissa to Killar, nearly fell into a steep gorge at a dangerous curve.


Witnesses described how the front end of the truck dangled precariously over an 800-meter deep ravine. Fortunately, the driver’s quick reflexes and alertness allowed him to regain control, averting what could have been a catastrophic accident. Thankfully, he emerged from the ordeal unscathed.


After several hours of hard work, the truck was successfully retrieved with the assistance of a JCB machine, providing much-needed relief to both locals and travelers navigating this perilous mountain road.
