Tripura CM Criticizes Tipra Motha Party's Claims on BJP's Operations

Strong Rebuttal from Tripura's Chief Minister

On Tuesday, Manik Saha, the Chief Minister of Tripura, strongly condemned the statement made by the Tipra Motha Party, which claimed that the BJP would not be allowed to operate within the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). Saha emphasized that no force can prevent the ruling party from working for the welfare of tribal communities in these regions. Speaking at a BJP event in Khowai district's Baijal Bari, he asserted that there is no place for blackmail and intimidation in a democratic system, and such tactics will no longer be tolerated. He reiterated that the BJP cannot be stopped from organizing programs aimed at the welfare of tribal communities in TTAADC areas.

Commitment to Peace and Dialogue

The Chief Minister accused certain groups of attempting to disrupt an event organized for tribal women but clarified that the BJP believes in maintaining dialogue and peace. He stated, “Our guardians are Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. We trust in law and order and will exercise power only through constitutional means.” He further remarked that chaotic behavior is not part of the BJP's political culture.

Drawing Parallels with Past Political Tactics

Saha drew a comparison, noting that Pakistan once tried to blackmail India with nuclear threats, and now some political forces in Tripura are adopting similar strategies. He remarked, “Everyone knows how the BJP came to power in 2018. Issues may change, from Tipraland to Greater Tipraland and now to a broader Northeast, but everything should occur through democratic processes.”

Allegations Against Coalition Partners

The Chief Minister also accused coalition partners of not adhering to the rules of the alliance, stating that the BJP respects coalition discipline at both the central and state levels, yet such behavior is lacking on the ground in Tripura. He questioned how any party could claim that the BJP would be barred from entering TTAADC areas, insisting that the government will continue to work for the public regardless of political opposition.
