Ranger, a member of the British House of Lords, expressed heartfelt condolences in a statement, describing Hinduja as one of the kindest, most humble, and loyal friends, noting that his death marks the end of an era.
In his statement, Ranger shared the sad news of their dear friend GP Hinduja's passing, emphasizing his exceptional kindness and loyalty. Who Was Gopichand Hinduja?
According to the UK Sunday Times Rich List, Gopichand Hinduja, popularly known as GP, was the richest person in the United Kingdom for seven consecutive years. Born in India in 1940, he served as the chairman of Hinduja Automotive Limited and took over the leadership of the group in 2023 following the passing of his brother, Srichand Hinduja, due to dementia.
Gopichand graduated from Jai Hind College in Mumbai in 1959 and received honorary doctorates in law from Westminster University and in economics from Richmond College in London. The Hinduja family business was founded by his father, Parmanand Hinduja, in 1914. Gopichand and his brother Srichand transformed the initially modest trading company into a multi-billion dollar conglomerate.
