Swaraj Kaushal Passes Away at 4 December 2025

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced on Thursday that Swaraj Kaushal, the husband of the late former Union Minister Sushma Swaraj, passed away on December 4. The party confirmed that his last rites will be conducted today, December 4, 2025, at the Lodhi Road crematorium. Kaushal was a former Governor of Mizoram and a distinguished lawyer. Satish Upadhyay, the BJP MLA from Malviya Nagar, expressed deep sorrow upon hearing about the sudden demise of Swaraj Kaushal, who was not only the husband of the late Sushma Swaraj but also the father of MP Bansuri Swaraj. He served the nation with integrity, intelligence, and unparalleled dedication.

Swaraj Kaushal was a prominent legal expert and former MP, known for his distinguished career in public service and the judiciary.
