The family’s statement conveyed their deep sorrow: "It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robin Arnold Smith, beloved father of Harrison and Margaux and cherished brother of Christopher."

Robin unexpectedly died in his South Perth apartment, with the cause of death currently unknown.

Known affectionately as 'The Judge', Robin was born in South Africa in 1963 to John and Joy Smith and was the younger sibling of Christopher (Kippy) Smith.
