Sukhdev Rana, a 71-year-old retired Naib Subedar from the Indian Army's RT Regiment, passed away last night after battling a long illness in his hometown of Kuthma, located in the Rait block. His funeral took place this afternoon at the Banoi cremation ground, where his elder son, Vivek Rana, conducted the final rites.

Military officials from the District Headquarters in Dharamshala attended the funeral, offering floral tributes and condolences to the grieving family. They also provided financial support of ₹10,000 to Vivek Rana to assist with the funeral expenses.

Shahpur MLA, Shri Keval Singh Pathania, expressed his heartfelt condolences regarding the loss of the former serviceman and extended his sympathies to the family.
