Tribal Medical Meet Celebrates 11th Year with Focus on Health and Environment

Celebrating Tribal Heritage and Health

The 11th edition of the Tribal Meena Medical Meet took place in Durgapura, organized by Manoj Dubbi, Omprakash Byadwal, and Pradeep. This event has been held annually for the past eleven years, coinciding with World Tribal Day, and is supported by employees from the health and medical department.

The ceremony commenced with the worship of oxygen-producing trees, presided over by Mr. Banne Singh Meena. Notable attendees included neurosurgeon Dr. Sunil Meena, Dr. Madan Mohan Meena, principal of the Rajasthan Health Sciences University Nursing College, and nursing superintendent Mantu Lal Meena, among others.

During the event, Mr. Banne Singh Meena presented white towels and water as symbols of respect for tribal culture and peace. Additionally, 26 individuals working in the field of forest health were honored with the Birsa Munda 2026 Award.

Ashok, the president of the Tribal Medical Meet, along with coordinator Sandeep Chetaram and Manoj Dubbi, emphasized the tribal community's reverence for nature. They reiterated that this annual event, held each July before Tribal Day, aims to promote environmental conservation and health awareness while welcoming new members.

The gathering also saw the presence of Bhagwati Phoolbati, Sharda Ninama, Suman Menpura, Megha Anita, Priyanka Usha, Mahima Muniraj, Indra Raj, Deepak Mandavat, Murari, Ram Lakhan, and Sunil.
