After a remarkable 21-year journey with Liverpool, Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to embark on a new adventure with Real Madrid, having finalized a £10 million transfer. The talented full-back, who has proudly donned the No. 66 jersey since his debut in 2016, will need to adopt a new number due to the regulations imposed by La Liga.

According to La Liga's guidelines, first-team players are required to wear jersey numbers ranging from 1 to 25, while reserve players are assigned numbers from 26 to 50. Goalkeepers are restricted to the numbers 1, 13, or 25. Consequently, Alexander-Arnold will have to part ways with his cherished No. 66.

Real Madrid has not yet revealed the squad numbers for the upcoming Club World Cup, which is set to kick off in mid-June, nor for the next La Liga season. These announcements are anticipated later this summer. For the 2024-25 season, only numbers 12, 24, and 25 are currently available.
