Jaunpur. The transport department has adopted a more stringent approach regarding vehicle operations and safety standards. Following directives from the central government, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (Enforcement) Satyendra Kumar Singh has issued a new order. Starting from April 15, vehicles without High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) will not be eligible for pollution clearance certificates. Singh emphasized that this regulation will be enforced across the district.
He has instructed all pollution testing center operators and vehicle owners to comply with this new rule. Vehicle owners are urged to install HSRP on their vehicles promptly to avoid future inconveniences.
Operators of pollution testing centers have been directed not to issue pollution certificates for vehicles lacking HSRP. To promote awareness of these regulations, each testing center must display a clear and readable notice in a prominent location within their premises.
This notice must clearly state that after April 15, pollution certificates will not be issued for vehicles without High Security Plates. The transport department has provided temporary relief to vehicle owners whose models currently cannot obtain HSRP due to technical limitations.
These specific models are exempt from this mandatory requirement for the time being. The ARTO has warned that any testing center found violating these directives will face strict departmental action.
