Transformative Journey of India Under Prime Minister Modi's Leadership

A Decade of Change and Growth

The eleven-year tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been a remarkable period characterized by significant service, effective governance, and a focus on uplifting the underprivileged. This era is distinguished by visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, and notable accomplishments that have enhanced India's global standing and internal strength.

Under Modi's proactive guidance, India has experienced a comprehensive renaissance, emerging as the world's fourth-largest economy, with defense exports increasing thirty-fourfold. The nation has transitioned from being a net importer to an exporter in vital sectors, lifting over 250 million people above the poverty line. The 'double-engine' governance model has fostered inclusive growth in states like Madhya Pradesh, which has achieved numerous milestones.

Vision for a Developed India

Modi's vision is built on four key pillars—Gareeb (Poor), Yuva (Youth), Annadata (Farmers), and Nari (Women)—collectively known as GYAN. This framework outlines a pathway towards a developed India by 2047, emphasizing targeted welfare initiatives that promote self-reliance and empowerment.

In these eleven years, decisions once deemed unattainable have materialized. The construction of the grand Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the abolition of Triple Talaq, and amendments to the Waqf Act for societal welfare are historic actions driven by the Prime Minister's determination.

Welfare Initiatives and Achievements

The Modi administration has also prioritized mass welfare, with over 800 million citizens benefiting from free food grains. More than 40 million families have received permanent housing, and approximately 156 million households now enjoy piped water access. The Ujjwala Yojana has provided LPG connections to 100 million families, while the Swachh Bharat Mission has significantly improved sanitation across the country. Notably, Indore has been recognized as the cleanest city for seven consecutive years, and Madhya Pradesh ranks as the second cleanest state.

The principle of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas' is evident in healthcare initiatives like Ayushman Bharat, which has offered free treatment to over 90 million individuals, including senior citizens. More than 16,000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras are now providing affordable medications.

Resilience During the Pandemic

During the COVID-19 pandemic, India not only provided free indigenous vaccines to its citizens but also seized the opportunity to advance the Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) vision. The Jan Dhan Yojana has integrated over 550 million individuals into the formal financial system. Through Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT), ₹44 lakh crore has been directly disbursed to those in need. Youth empowerment has been emphasized with the launch of over 160,000 startups and skill development programs benefiting more than 16 million young people. The swift implementation of the New Education Policy saw Madhya Pradesh as the first state to adopt it.

Empowering Farmers and Women

Farmers and women have also seen substantial benefits. The PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi and Crop Insurance Scheme have provided essential support to farmers. Political empowerment is ensured through a 33% reservation for women in Parliament and state assemblies, with the goal of creating 3 million 'Lakhpati Didis' (women millionaires) underway. Over 100 million rural women have benefited from Self Help Groups (SHGs), including 6.2 million in Madhya Pradesh alone.

Economic Growth and Cultural Revival

From being ranked 10th in 2014, India has ascended to the position of the world's fourth-largest economy. Key reforms such as demonetization, digitalization via UPI, and the expansion of online transactions have fostered economic discipline and growth.

Cultural and civilizational heritage has also been revitalized. Under Modi's leadership, spiritual sites have been restored, including the Kashi Vishwanath corridor, enhancing tourism. Initiatives like Namami Gange have rejuvenated India's sacred rivers and highlighted the importance of water conservation.

Infrastructure and Future Vision

Madhya Pradesh has echoed this heritage consciousness with the development of the Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, the Shri Ram Van Gaman Path, and the Shri Krishna Path. River-linking projects like Ken-Betwa and Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal have received significant support.

Economic self-reliance is being promoted through the 'Vocal for Local and Global' initiative. Madhya Pradesh has pioneered region-specific industrialization and hosted successful Global Investors Summits, evolving into sectoral investment summits to drive an industrial revolution in the state.

Advancements in Space and Infrastructure

India's space research has flourished under Modi's leadership. With support for ISRO and domestic technologies, India became the first nation to land on the moon's south pole, positioning itself at the forefront of global space exploration.

Massive infrastructure projects—including roads, railways, 23 metro projects, ports, airports, and bullet trains—are currently in progress. Iconic developments like the Atal Tunnel and the Chenab Railway Bridge, the world's highest arch bridge, exemplify this vision.

A Vision for the Future

Prime Minister Modi has committed to transforming India into a fully developed $35 trillion economy by 2047, coinciding with the centenary of independence. Madhya Pradesh is dedicated to making significant contributions to this national vision.

I am confident that under Modi's inspiring leadership, Madhya Pradesh will continue to play a pivotal role in realizing the dream of a New India.
