In a shocking incident in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, a groom was brutally murdered while heading to his wedding, adorned with a wedding veil. Two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle intercepted the groom's car and opened fire. The groom sustained gunshot wounds to his abdomen and mouth, leading to severe bleeding. He was rushed to the district hospital with the help of the police and wedding guests, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The joyous atmosphere of the wedding quickly turned into mourning for both families involved.
This tragic event occurred on Friday evening. The groom, Azad Bind, was set to marry Soni Bind from the village of Bibipur. As the wedding procession approached Bibipur, the assailants opened fire indiscriminately.
The groom's car was halted just before reaching the village, and the masked attackers began shooting at him. The groom fell injured inside the car, and the other vehicles in the procession also came to a stop. The sound of gunfire caused panic among the guests.
Upon receiving the news, police assisted in transporting the injured groom to the district hospital, where he was declared dead. The joyous wedding celebrations turned into a somber occasion, with the DJ being silenced. Many guests reportedly returned home in fear.
The police are currently investigating the incident, examining nearby CCTV footage and call records to uncover the motive behind the murder. The shooting on the wedding day is being speculated to be linked to a possible love affair. The true reason for the murder will be revealed following the police investigation. Meanwhile, the bride is devastated, lamenting that he had promised to return wearing the wedding veil.
Senior police officer Kunwar Anupam Singh arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. He spoke with the family members to gather details about the event. The SP stated that this incident is extremely tragic, and the perpetrators will not be spared; they will be apprehended and face legal action.
