Fatal Truck Overturn in Annamayya District

Authorities reported on Monday that a mini truck carrying mangoes overturned near Reddicheruvu in Annamayya district, resulting in the deaths of nine individuals and injuries to eleven others. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed profound sorrow late Sunday night over the tragic incident involving the mango-laden truck.


Details of the Incident

The accident occurred on Sunday night in the Pulampet mandal near Reddicheruvu Katta. Over twenty people were aboard the truck when it flipped. The victims were traveling from Rajampet to Railway Koduru at the time of the mishap. According to police reports, the incident took place around 9:30 PM when the truck's rear wheel got stuck in sand, causing it to lose balance and topple onto a mini truck.


Chief Minister's Response

In response to the tragedy, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his condolences and sought information regarding the causes of the accident. Officials informed him that the victims were en route from Rajampet to Railway Koduru when the accident occurred. They also assured him that the injured were receiving appropriate medical care.

The Chief Minister assured that the government would provide full support to the families of the deceased. He instructed officials to ensure quality medical care for those injured in the accident. Previous Incident in Annamayya District

On June 30, a similar incident in Annamayya district resulted in three fatalities and five serious injuries when a truck collided with a tempo traveler. This accident took place near Domanna Bavi in the Kurabalakota mandal of the Tambalapalle constituency. Sub-Inspector Dilip reported that an unidentified truck struck the tempo traveler, and the severely injured were promptly transported to the government hospital in Madanapalle via the 108 ambulance service. Transport Minister Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy acknowledged the road accident in Annamayya district and expressed his deep sorrow.
