Tragic Train Accident Claims Lives of Family in Uttar Pradesh
Fatal Collision with Train in Shahjahanpur
In a heartbreaking incident in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a collision with the Garib Rath Express train resulted in the deaths of five individuals, including a couple and their two minor children. This tragic event occurred while they were crossing the railway tracks, as reported by local authorities on Wednesday.
According to police, all five victims were riding on a single motorcycle when the accident took place.
Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi stated that the accident happened on Wednesday evening near the Roza police station, as the motorcycle riders attempted to cross the railway line. The Garib Rath Express, traveling from Lucknow, struck their motorcycle, leading to the immediate deaths of the couple, their brother-in-law, and their two children, aged between four and six years.
The victims were identified as Sethpal (40) and his wife Pooja (38), along with their two children and brother-in-law Hariom (45), who were returning to their village from a visit to Hariom's home in Nigohi.
Following the incident, the Superintendent of Police arrived at the scene with a police team to confirm the identities of the deceased. The bodies have been taken into custody for post-mortem examinations, and traffic in the area has returned to normal.
