Tragic Tractor Accident Claims Lives of Three Family Members in Odisha

Fatal Incident in Jajpur District

Bhubaneswar: A tragic accident in Odisha's Jajpur district resulted in the deaths of three family members, including a 15-year-old boy, after the tractor they were on overturned, according to police reports on Sunday.

The incident took place early Sunday morning at Bahadur Nagar, within the Balichandrapur police station area, as the family was returning home from their farmland.

The victims, comprising the teenager and his grandparents, were on the tractor when the mishap occurred.

They had visited their farmland to gather harvested crops, aiming to safeguard them from impending thunderstorms, a police official stated.

Local residents rushed them to Badachana hospital, but unfortunately, they were pronounced dead upon arrival.

"We received three bodies around 1:30 AM. It was indeed an accident," a doctor from Badachana hospital confirmed.

"A case has been registered, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. An investigation is currently in progress," added the Balichandrapur police officer.
