Fatal Encounter with a Tiger

On Monday morning, a farmer lost his life due to a tiger attack in the Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh. This incident was confirmed by an official from the forest department.


According to the forest department, the attack occurred in the village of Badi Fulhar, located in the Nyuria police station area, where a tiger attacked 39-year-old farmer Dayaram.


The farmer sustained severe injuries from the attack and succumbed to them shortly after. Dayaram had gone to inspect his sugarcane crop in front of his house when the tiger, which had been lying in wait, pounced on him and dragged him approximately 20 meters into the sugarcane field. By the time nearby workers heard his screams and rushed to help, it was too late.


Bharat Kumar, the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), confirmed the incident and stated that a team from the forest department has been dispatched to the site, and the area has been cordoned off. Local residents have been alerted to stay vigilant.


The body of the deceased farmer has been sent for post-mortem examination. Upon arrival, police and forest department officials were informed by villagers that a tiger had been roaming the area for the past two months. Despite multiple complaints to the forest department from the villagers, no action was taken. Following this tragic event, there is widespread anger among the villagers and the family of the deceased.
