Tragic SUV Accident Claims Lives of Two Women in Tonk District

Late Wednesday night, a tragic accident in Tonk district resulted in the deaths of two women from the same family, while five others sustained injuries. This information was confirmed by local police.
According to Raghuveer Singh, the officer in charge of the Peepaloo police station, the incident occurred near Dhoondhiya village. The SUV, carrying seven passengers, skidded off a broken bridge and plunged into the river.
The occupants of the vehicle were returning from a visit to the Trinetra Ganesh temple in Sawai Madhopur, located in Ajmer district. The officer noted, 'There were no barriers after the bridge, leading the vehicle directly into the river, where it became partially submerged. Local villagers broke the car windows to rescue those trapped inside.'
Police reported that all seven individuals were transported to a hospital, where two women, Supyar (45) and Manju (50), were pronounced dead. The injured are currently receiving medical treatment.
