Tragic Suicide of Young Woman Preparing for Competitive Exams in Meerut

In Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, a young woman preparing for competitive exams reportedly took her own life by hanging in her rented room. This tragic event was reported by local authorities on Monday.

According to police, the landlord discovered the 25-year-old's body hanging from the ceiling fan when he opened the door to her room around 2:30 PM on Monday.

An official stated that the police and forensic team arrived at the scene to collect evidence, and the body was subsequently sent for an autopsy. The family has been informed about the incident. Initial investigations revealed that the young woman had recently failed the Uttar Pradesh police recruitment exam, which may have contributed to her mental distress.

Harendra Pal Singh, the station chief of Lal Kurti, mentioned that the case appears to be a suicide at first glance, and no suspicious items were found at the scene. He added that the forensic team has gathered evidence and that all aspects of the case are being thoroughly examined.
