Reports indicate that several cricket fans fainted while gathering for a special celebration marking RCB's first IPL title win. In a separate development, the Karnataka government honored the Royal Challengers Bangalore team for winning their first IPL title, ending an 18-year wait for the prestigious trophy. The team, led by Rajat Patidar, was recognized by Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at the grand steps of the Vidhana Soudha, the seat of the state legislature and secretariat. During the ceremony, the team received traditional Mysore peta (a ceremonial turban), shawls, and garlands. A large crowd gathered to witness the event, and the team is also expected to participate in a program organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Academy at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
