Faridabad, Aug 4: A tragic event occurred at a private educational institution in Faridabad, Haryana, where a 29-year-old teacher was reportedly murdered by a stalker. The assailant, who was covered in white cloth, approached the school under the pretense of wanting to meet her. The police acted quickly, apprehending the suspect named Amit within hours of the incident.
Details of the Attack
The victim, Sandhya, worked at a school in Sikrona village, which is near a police outpost. On Wednesday morning, the accused arrived at the school and asked to speak with her. After being notified, Sandhya went outside to meet him.
Shortly thereafter, the man allegedly attacked her with a knife, causing severe injuries to her face, neck, and chest. This brutal act occurred in front of security cameras positioned around the school.
CCTV footage captured the suspect entering the premises, waiting in the lobby with his face concealed. When Sandhya appeared, he motioned for her to come outside, then violently grabbed her and dragged her away before repeatedly stabbing her, even after she fell to the ground.
Response and Aftermath
According to reports, school staff rushed to the scene upon hearing screams. The school administrator attempted to intervene but was threatened by the attacker, who briefly turned his attention to him while wielding the knife. Before anyone could restrain him, the assailant fled on a motorcycle without a registration plate.
The administrator recounted that he was in his office when he heard cries for help around 9:30 a.m. Upon arriving at the scene, he found Sandhya injured on the ground while the attack was still ongoing.
Sandhya was quickly taken to Al Falah Hospital, but unfortunately, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Investigation and Motive
Following the incident, police launched an immediate investigation, leading to the arrest of 21-year-old Amit from Kot village within two hours. During questioning, he confessed to the crime.
Initial investigations revealed that Amit had known Sandhya for about two years and had tried to contact her multiple times. Despite her lack of interest, he persisted in his advances. It was also disclosed that Sandhya had recently filed a molestation complaint against him, to which Amit had publicly apologized. Authorities suspect that the murder may have been driven by revenge related to this earlier incident.
Further inquiries are ongoing to clarify the full sequence of events and gather more evidence regarding the case.
