Heartbreaking Loss in Sundargarh District


In a tragic event in Jhirpani village, located within the Tamda panchayat of Sundargarh district, two young siblings lost their lives due to a snakebite. The victims, six-year-old Emeralon Ekka and his eight-year-old sister Ablin, were the children of Isaac Ekka.


Reports indicate that the children were asleep with their parents when the incident occurred around 11 PM on Monday. Following the snakebite, the family quickly transported them to a government hospital in Rourkela.


Unfortunately, medical personnel pronounced both children dead by 3 AM. Upon receiving the news, local police from Chandiposh arrived at the hospital, where they took possession of the bodies for postmortem examinations. The remains were later returned to the grieving family. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this unnatural death.
