Heartbreaking Incident in Philadelphia

Hyderabad: A tragic incident has unfolded involving a 28-year-old man from Hyderabad, who was reportedly shot while delivering pizzas in the United States, according to his family.

The shooting took place in Philadelphia during the night of June 5-6, as per the information relayed to his family residing in Gundlapochampally.

The Consulate General of India in New York expressed their sorrow over the loss of Mr. Anshul Kuncha, an Indian national, in a post on social media. They extended their condolences to his family and assured them of support during this challenging time.

Anshul was employed at a multinational corporation in North Philadelphia and took up pizza delivery on weekends to supplement his income, as shared by his sister, Tanvi.

According to her, Anshul was shot three times in the head and left on the street. She mentioned that nothing was taken from him, indicating that he was directed to deliver pizza in a deserted area, which turned out to be a trap.

Tanvi expressed her belief that it was a deliberate act to kill her brother, questioning the motives behind such a heinous crime. She has called for justice and urged the Ministry of External Affairs to expedite the return of her brother's remains.

Reports suggest that the body is expected to be released on Monday. Tanvi's plea was simple: to have her brother back and to seek justice for his untimely death. She noted that US media indicated the involvement of two masked gunmen.

Anshul had moved to the US approximately four years ago for his studies. Tanvi recalled a previous incident where he was robbed of his belongings, including his chain, phone, and cash.

She described her brother as a loving and cheerful individual, lamenting that he had not wanted to go to the US, but they encouraged him to pursue his education, leading to this tragic outcome.

This incident serves as a cautionary tale for parents considering sending their children abroad, as Tanvi urged others to reconsider.
