Shooting Incident in Kaushambi District

On Friday evening, a young man was shot in the Pipri police jurisdiction of Kaushambi district, leading to his death during treatment. This information was confirmed by a police official.


According to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rajesh Kumar Singh, the victim, identified as Raju (30), was a resident of Ganja village in the Airport police area of Prayagraj. He was on his way to purchase alcohol at a liquor store in Magdum Pur village when he was attacked. As he parked his motorcycle, assailants who had been lying in wait shot him in the chest.


The police quickly transported him to a hospital in Prayagraj due to his critical injuries, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his wounds during treatment. The ASP mentioned that legal proceedings will commence following the receipt of a complaint from the family and the post-mortem report. He also stated that an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
