Shooting at Brick Kiln in Kulgam

In a distressing incident in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, gunmen opened fire on two laborers at a brick kiln on Friday, resulting in the death of one worker and leaving another injured, as reported by local authorities. The attack occurred in the evening at the brick kiln located in Kelam, where the laborers were engaged in work.


Officials confirmed that two workers were shot during the assault. Tragically, one of them succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital. The deceased has been identified as Deepak Ratre, aged 24, while the injured individual is 28-year-old Bopinder.


Both victims hail from Chhattisgarh. Authorities indicated that Bopinder was initially transported to GMC Anantnag, where doctors later referred him to SKIMS hospital in Soura. This incident follows another attack that took place less than ten days prior, where a police officer was shot dead by militants in Anantnag city.
