Devastating Incident in Jhalawar District

On Friday, a tragic incident occurred in the Jhalawar district of Rajasthan, where the collapse of a government school building resulted in the deaths of at least four children, with fears that more may be trapped under the debris. The accident took place around 8:30 AM at the Piploadi Government School in the Manohar Thana area. Reports indicate that approximately 40 children were present on the premises at the time, along with teachers and staff.


According to Amit Kumar, the Superintendent of Police in Jhalawar, four children have lost their lives, and 17 others sustained injuries. Ten of the injured children have been referred to Jhalawar, with three to four in critical condition. Rescue operations were initiated with the assistance of teachers and local residents, who worked to free the children from the rubble.


Emergency Response and Government Action

Sources reveal that district administration officials, including the collector, and disaster relief teams are on-site to aid in the rescue efforts.
