Fatal Accidents in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab

On Saturday morning, two severe road accidents in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab resulted in the deaths of ten individuals. In Chamba district, a passenger bus plunged into a gorge, leading to the loss of seven lives, while in Jalandhar, a high-speed car collided with a stationary truck, resulting in three fatalities.


Chamba Bus Accident Details

The incident occurred on the Teesa-Bairagarh road near Chaluj turn. Reports indicate that the bus lost control and veered off the road. At the time of the accident, the bus was en route from Bairagarh to Chamba city, carrying approximately 15 to 20 passengers. Tragically, seven individuals, including the bus driver and conductor, died at the scene. Additionally, eleven others sustained serious injuries.


Local residents and police quickly arrived at the scene to initiate rescue operations. The injured passengers were promptly transported to the civil hospital in Teesa. An additional SHO from Teesa police station, Anubhav Sharma, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.


Jalandhar Car Crash Incident

Earlier that morning, a swift car collided with a stationary truck loaded with goods on the Jalandhar-Maksudan bypass highway, resulting in three deaths. According to the Division 1 SHO, SI Rakesh Kumar, the police received information about the accident around 6:30 AM. It was reported that the car, carrying three individuals, crashed into the rear of the truck at high speed, causing extensive damage to the vehicle and resulting in immediate fatalities.


The bodies have been sent to the civil hospital for further procedures. The police noted that the car was registered in the Lamma village area, and efforts are being made to contact local residents for identification of the deceased. The identity of the car owner has not yet been established.


At the time of the collision, the truck, marked 'KTC' and registered in Haryana, was parked on the road. Following the accident, the truck driver fled the scene. Authorities are working to gather more information by reaching out to the transport company. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
