Fatal Incident in Kurnool District

Tragic Road Accidents in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Claim Lives

A devastating road accident occurred near Chilkaldona in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, resulting in the deaths of at least eight individuals when a Bolero vehicle collided with a truck.

According to police reports, approximately 10 to 12 others sustained injuries in the incident. The injured were promptly taken to a hospital in Emmiganur, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Initial information indicates that all victims were pilgrims from the Chikkamagaluru region of Karnataka, returning from a visit to the Ministry Temple. Following the incident, police arrived at the scene to initiate rescue operations. A case has been registered, and an investigation into the accident's causes is underway.

Separate Tragedy in Telangana

In a related incident, Telangana witnessed two separate road accidents that resulted in the deaths of four people. The first accident occurred in the Vikarabad district, where a truck collided with a two-wheeler, claiming the lives of three family members.

The deceased included a husband, wife, and their daughter, who were traveling towards Zahirabad around 6 AM. Their son survived with minor injuries. Police stated that the oncoming truck struck their vehicle, leading to the tragic outcome.

Another incident took place in the Yalal police station area, where a police constable lost his life while on duty. Reports suggest that his two-wheeler fell into a water-filled pit near an under-construction bridge. Officials noted that while a warning sign was present, there was insufficient barricading, which is believed to be a contributing factor to this accident.
