Fatal Incidents in Ballia District

In Ballia district, two separate road accidents resulted in the deaths of a one-and-a-half-year-old boy and a teacher, as reported by local authorities on Monday.


According to police, the first incident occurred in the Sikanderpur area on Sunday night. Rajesh Kumar Yadav, aged 45, was riding his motorcycle towards the bus station when a speeding pickup truck collided with him from behind, leading to his immediate death.


Upon receiving the accident report, police arrived at the scene and sent the body for post-mortem examination at the district hospital. They have also seized the pickup truck involved in the incident.


Station Officer Mulchand Chaurasia stated that a case has been registered against the unidentified driver based on a complaint filed by the deceased's father-in-law, Chandrabali Yadav, under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.


Rajesh was employed as an assistant teacher at a primary school in the Pandah education zone and was residing in a rented house near Kalpa Temple in Sikanderpur.


The second accident took place on Sunday evening on the Dalchapra-Shrinagar connecting road in the Revati police jurisdiction. The family of Mangru Nat lives in a hut adjacent to the road.


On that day, Mangru's one-and-a-half-year-old son, Suraj, was playing in front of their home when an unidentified pickup truck ran over him. Villagers rushed the child to the Community Health Center in Revati, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.


Police arrived promptly at the scene and sent the child's body for post-mortem. Station Officer Rajesh Bahadur Singh confirmed that a case has been filed against the unknown driver based on a complaint from the child's father, Mangru Nat, and investigations are ongoing.
