Hyderabad, January 9: In a tragic turn of events, three migrant workers from Bihar lost their lives in a road accident in the Nalgonda district of Telangana on Friday, according to local authorities.

The collision took place near the Miryalguda Bypass, involving a truck and a cement tanker.

Three additional individuals were injured in the crash and have been transported to the Miryalguda Area Hospital for treatment. The deceased have been identified as Biru Bai (30), Santosh (30), and Suraj (18), all originally from Bihar.

The truck collided with the cement tanker as it was making a turn at the bypass. The tanker was en route to Guntur from Miryalguda, while the truck, loaded with marbles, was traveling from Shamshabad near Hyderabad to Guntur.

In a separate incident in Kamareddy district, five agricultural workers sustained injuries when their autorickshaw overturned.

This accident occurred late Thursday night at Antampalli in the Bikanoor mandal, as 15 agricultural workers were returning home after a day in the fields.

The workers hailed from Surayapalli in the Lingampet mandal.

Additionally, police are investigating another accident that took place on Thursday in Mokila, Rangareddy district, where four students tragically lost their lives. Their car crashed into a roadside tree.

Initial investigations suggest the vehicle was traveling at a speed of 100 km/h when the accident occurred, as the group of five students was returning to Hyderabad after celebrating a birthday.

A female student suffered critical injuries in this incident. Among the deceased were three students from ICFAI Business School and one engineering student from MGIT.

One of the victims, Sumeet, who had hosted a birthday dinner, was driving the car when he lost control while trying to avoid a speed-check barricade.
