Tragic Road Accident in Kathua Claims Two Lives and Injures Eight

Severe Accident on Bag Thali Road

In a tragic incident in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, a severe road accident has resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left eight others injured. The accident occurred when a speeding car collided with an e-rickshaw parked by the roadside, near the Zarai Chowk area.

Reports indicate that both occupants of the e-rickshaw lost their lives, while five people, including two children in the car, sustained serious injuries. Additionally, three individuals riding a scooter were also injured in the collision.

All injured parties have been admitted to the GMC in Kathua for medical treatment. The impact of the crash was so intense that both the e-rickshaw and the car were severely damaged. An eyewitness, Dharmapal, stated that the car struck the e-rickshaw, causing it to be thrown into the air and land approximately 30 feet away, while the car overturned after hitting a pole.
