Tragic Road Accident in Dhaulpur Leaves Eight Injured

Accident Overview

Dhaulpur. A severe road accident occurred on National Highway-11B in the Bari sub-district on Monday night. A car carrying devotees returning from a visit to the Kailadevi temple near Angai village lost control and plunged into a deep gorge. Eight individuals in the vehicle sustained serious injuries, including three women and a young girl.

Details of the Incident

Reports indicate that the victims were members of a family from Agra (Sevla), who were returning home after attending a religious ceremony and the mundan (head shaving) ritual for a child. The driver reportedly dozed off, leading to the car veering off the road and falling into a ditch.

Chaos Following the Accident

The moment the car fell, panic ensued in the vicinity. Local villagers rushed to assist the victims. Upon receiving the alert, police from the Angai station and a medical team led by Block CMHO Gabbar Singh Meena arrived at the scene.

Due to delays in ambulance arrival, the injured were transported to the hospital in private vehicles by the medical team and local residents.

Injuries and Medical Response

Eight Injured, Serious Cases Referred

Among the injured were Pinky (34), Nitya, Divyanshi, Rachit, Divya, and Sunny, totaling eight individuals. They were initially taken to the PHC in Chhilachaund for first aid before being transferred to the government hospital in Bari.

Given the severity of their conditions, several victims were referred to the district hospital in Dhaulpur for advanced treatment.

Another Accident on the Same Highway

On the same day, another accident occurred on National Highway-11B near Chhilachaund village. A tempo filled with devotees overturned while attempting to overtake a pickup truck, resulting in five additional injuries.

In total, both accidents on the highway left thirteen individuals injured.

The police have initiated an investigation into the incidents to determine the causes.
