Patna, May 6: A devastating road accident occurred on Wednesday near Dr P.N. Singh Degree College, located on the outskirts of Chhapra in Bihar, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, including two female members of an orchestra. Additionally, six others suffered serious injuries.


Witnesses reported that the collision was so intense that it left the area in disarray, with bodies found scattered across the road in a horrific state. Local residents described the scene as extremely distressing.


Emergency response teams from the Bhagwan Bazar police station and the Dial 112 unit arrived promptly after being alerted and initiated rescue efforts.


The injured were transported to Sadar Hospital in Chhapra, where four individuals are currently in critical condition.


Initial investigations suggest that the victims were part of an orchestra group from Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh, returning from a wedding performance in Chhota Brahmapur.


At approximately 5:30 a.m., their pickup truck reportedly lost control and overturned on the roadside.


Shortly thereafter, a speeding truck collided with the overturned vehicle, exacerbating the situation and leading to multiple fatalities.


Authorities confirmed that all deceased and injured individuals were from Ballia district, and their families have been notified.


Saran Superintendent of Police Vineet Kumar visited Sadar Hospital to evaluate the circumstances and instructed medical staff to ensure the best care for the injured.


The bodies have been sent for autopsy, and a thorough investigation into the incident is currently in progress.


Earlier this week, another tragic road accident in Rohtas, Bihar, resulted in the deaths of five people.


The victims were returning from a Tilak ceremony when the accident occurred.


This incident took place early Monday morning in the Dinara police station area of Rohtas district, near Mathiya village along National Highway 319.


According to officials, a speeding truck lost control and struck a group of people around 3:00 a.m.


The victims had just disembarked from a bus and were stopped on the highway, with a pickup vehicle parked behind them when the truck crashed into them, causing chaos at the scene.
