Tragic Road Accident in Bharmaur Claims Two Lives

A tragic road accident occurred late Wednesday night in the remote tribal area of Bharmaur, resulting in the loss of two lives. The incident took place on the Hiling–Lamu road close to Kileri Kandh, where an Alto car (HP-01C-2717) veered off course and fell approximately 600 meters into a steep gorge.
As reported by local police from the Bharmaur station, the accident transpired around 11 PM. The force of the crash was so intense that both individuals in the vehicle died on the spot. A rescue team from the Holi police post, along with local volunteers, successfully retrieved the bodies from the gorge after a difficult operation.
The victims have been identified as Suresh Kumar, aged 48, son of Rangila Ram, and Sanjay Kumar, aged 36, son of Sarwan Kumar, both hailing from Lamu village in Holi tehsil, Chamba district. Their remains were taken into police custody and subsequently sent to Civil Hospital Holi for autopsy. Authorities have opened a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
This unfortunate event has brought immense sorrow to the Lamu panchayat. Local leaders, including Panchayat Pradhan Bina Devi and former Pradhan Lal Chand, have expressed their condolences to the grieving families and offered prayers for strength during this difficult time.
