Tragic Road Accident Claims Three Lives in Himachal Pradesh

Fatal Incident on Chamba-Tissa Road

In a heartbreaking incident in Himachal Pradesh, three individuals lost their lives when a pickup truck veered off the road and plunged into a gorge along the Chamba-Tissa route.

As reported by local authorities, the vehicle lost control near Gunu Nala, resulting in a tragic fall into the ravine. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others were transported to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College in Chamba, where they later succumbed to their injuries.

Vijay Saklani, the Superintendent of Police in Chamba, confirmed the details of the accident, stating that the deceased's bodies would be returned to their families following a postmortem examination. The police have commenced an inquest to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the hazards associated with nighttime travel on mountainous roads, particularly during the winter season.
