A heartbreaking road accident in Kanpur has claimed the lives of two brothers, Kamalkant and Deepak, who were transporting gravel. Devastating Incident on Kanpur Elevated Bridge

In a tragic road accident on the elevated bridge in Naubasta, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, two brothers lost their lives today. Reports indicate that around 4:30 AM, a dumper loaded with gravel collided with another dumper that was parked on the bridge. The impact was so severe that both brothers became trapped inside the cabin of the dumper.


Brothers Were Transporting Gravel to Unnao

The deceased have been identified as 27-year-old Kamalkant and 25-year-old Deepak, residents of Chhonk in the Kalpi area of Jalaun. They were en route to Unnao with a load of gravel when the accident occurred, causing chaos at the scene and resulting in a traffic jam stretching nearly two kilometers.


Struggling for Life Inside the Cabin

Upon receiving the news, traffic police and local authorities rushed to the site to initiate rescue operations. For approximately three hours, the brothers fought for their lives while trapped in the cabin. Despite efforts from the police and local residents to free them, the severely damaged cabin posed significant challenges.


Tragic Outcome Despite Rescue Efforts

Eventually, with the assistance of two cranes, the dumper was separated, and the cabin was cut open to retrieve the brothers. Unfortunately, by that time, both had already succumbed to their injuries. The police have taken the bodies into custody for post-mortem examinations. The news has left their family in deep mourning. According to Rajiv Kumar Singh, the station chief of Hanumant Vihar, the accident occurred due to the dumper colliding with the stationary vehicle. After clearing the gravel from the bridge, traffic was restored, and the public was urged to drive cautiously and adhere to speed limits.
