The unfortunate event unfolded within the jurisdiction of the Mokila police station when the SUV veered off the road and collided with a tree. Three of the four passengers were pronounced dead at the scene, highlighting the dangers of speeding on this route. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle lost control, leading to the fatal crash. Emergency services arrived promptly, but the damage was already done for most of the victims.


Circumstances Surrounding the Accident

This tragic incident occurred shortly after one of the deceased celebrated a birthday. The group, which included a female student, was en route from Mokila to Narsingi when the accident happened around 1 AM on Thursday. According to police, five students were traveling in the SUV when it crashed into the tree at high speed. Authorities are currently investigating whether alcohol consumption played a role in the accident.


Identities of the Victims

The deceased have been identified as follows, all of whom were well-known students from local colleges: Karagiyala Sumit (20), a final-year BBA student at IBS College; Shri Nikhil (20), also a final-year BBA student at IBS College; Balamoorthy Rohit (18), an engineering student at MGIT; and Devalaya Surya Teja (20), a second-year BBA student at IBS College. These young individuals, aged between 18 and 20, hailed from Narsingi, Kokapet, and Manchiryal, with many residing in student hostels.


The Sole Survivor and Emergency Response

The only survivor, Sunakari Nakshatra (20), a final-year BBA student at IBS College and daughter of Ravindra, was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Her condition is currently under observation. The Mokila police have registered a case and are investigating factors such as speed, road conditions, and potential negligence. Families of the victims have been notified, and counseling support is being arranged.
