Tragic Road Accident Claims Life of Young Biker in Sonapur

Fatal Incident on National Highway-27

Jorabat, Dec 20: A devastating road accident occurred today on National Highway-27 in Sonapur, resulting in the death of a young motorcyclist and leaving another individual in critical condition.

The victim has been identified as Binod Rahang, who lived in Sonapur Jogdol. The other rider, Akash Rabha, suffered serious injuries and was urgently transported to the Sonapur District Hospital for immediate medical attention.

As per police reports, the accident took place near the entrance of Sonapur College when the two young men were riding a KTM motorcycle from Jorabat towards Sonapur. A fast-moving dumper, traveling in the same direction, collided violently with the motorcycle from behind, causing the tragic incident. Binod Rahang succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

After the crash, the driver of the dumper fled the area, abandoning the victims. Traffic police from Sonapur arrived promptly, conducted initial investigations, and have begun efforts to locate the runaway vehicle.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
