Tragic Road Accident Claims Five Lives in Uttar Pradesh
Fatal Incident in Bulandshahr
A family returning to Delhi after attending a wedding in Badaun faced a tragic road accident on Wednesday morning in Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and leaving one person injured. The police reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle due to drowsiness, causing the car to crash into a culvert before overturning and catching fire.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his sorrow over the incident and instructed that proper medical care be provided to the injured.
According to Tejveer Singh, the Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), the accident occurred around 5:30 AM near Janipur village in the Jahangirabad police station area.
The police received alerts about a Swift car that had met with an accident and was engulfed in flames. Local authorities and the fire department promptly arrived at the scene to initiate rescue operations.
A woman named Gulnaz, aged 28, was rescued and taken to a Community Health Center (CHC) for treatment. Unfortunately, the other five occupants of the car did not survive.
The deceased have been identified as Jubair (28), Tanzeem (26), Momina (24), Jainul (2), and Jeba alias Nida (23). Initial investigations revealed that all six individuals had attended a wedding in Badaun and were returning to Malviya Nagar in Delhi when the driver fell asleep, leading to the crash.
Singh mentioned that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and further proceedings are underway. A statement from the Chief Minister's office conveyed deep condolences for the loss of life in the road accidents in Agra and Bulandshahr, expressing sympathy for the bereaved families.
The Chief Minister has directed district administration officials to ensure that the injured receive immediate medical attention and has wished for their swift recovery.
