Ambedkarnagar: A heartbreaking incident has emerged from Ambedkarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh. A severe road accident late Sunday night has shocked the local community. Near the Ashrafpur Bhuwah brick kiln in the Jalalpur area, a speeding and out-of-control car struck a group of people standing by the roadside. This tragic event resulted in the deaths of eight individuals.
Good Samaritans Affected
According to reports, just before midnight on Sunday, two motorcycles collided violently. The riders sustained serious injuries. Witnessing the accident, nearby residents rushed to the scene to assist the injured and attempted to transport them to the hospital. During this chaotic moment, a Swift Dzire car lost control and plowed into the crowd, causing panic.
Casualties and Medical Response
Local residents promptly alerted the police. With the assistance of law enforcement and villagers, all injured individuals were taken to the community health center in Jalalpur, where doctors pronounced six of them dead. Two others, who were critically injured, were referred to the district hospital and subsequently sent to Tanda Medical College, where they also succumbed to their injuries, raising the death toll to eight.
Ongoing Investigation
The deceased have been identified as Kaifi, Uttam Kumar, Aditya Kumar, Lalchand, Raju Gupta, and Chotu, while the identities of two others remain unknown. Dr. Tejveer Singh, the Additional Superintendent of Police (East), stated that an investigation is underway, and efforts are being made to locate the driver of the vehicle involved. A case has been registered, and further actions are being initiated.
