Prateek Yadav's Untimely Demise

Prateek Yadav, the 38-year-old son of the late Mulayam Singh Yadav and half-brother to Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, passed away this morning at a civil hospital in Lucknow. Coming from a prominent political lineage, Prateek was known for his passion for fitness and was actively involved in the real estate sector. Reports indicate that his net worth was estimated to be between ₹5.5 crore and ₹7 crore in 2024, with an annual income of approximately ₹1.5 crore.


Financial Insights and Business Ventures

According to an electoral affidavit filed by his wife, Aparna Yadav, a BJP leader, the couple's total assets, both movable and immovable, were valued at around ₹23 crore. In addition to running a gym, Prateek was also making significant earnings from real estate activities, which included buying, selling, investing, and construction projects. A successful entrepreneur, he had a penchant for luxury cars, reportedly owning several high-end vehicles, including a Lamborghini valued at nearly ₹5 crore.


Entrepreneurial Journey in Fitness

In 2015, Prateek launched his flagship gym business, Iron Core Fit, which later expanded significantly with multiple branches. He also owned a well-known gym called 'The Fitness Planet,' and his Instagram posts revealed his enthusiasm for adventurous and athletic pursuits. The equipment used in 'The Fitness Planet' and its other fitness centers was reportedly imported from Italy and the United States, with an annual membership fee of around ₹35,000, attracting clients seeking premium fitness amenities. Besides owning a gym, Prateek provided fitness training, promotional activities, and branding services for various companies.


Circumstances Surrounding His Death

Family members took Prateek to the civil hospital around 6:15 AM, where he was pronounced dead. At that time, Aparna Yadav was not present. Prateek had been suffering from lung issues for some time, with a blood clot in his lungs requiring treatment. His condition deteriorated suddenly this morning, leading to his loss of consciousness, prompting his family to rush him to the hospital.
