Fatal Incident Over Parking in Preet Vihar

New Delhi: In a tragic incident early Monday morning, a 34-year-old man was fatally shot following a dispute regarding parking in Preet Vihar, according to officials.

The confrontation involved the victim, Pankaj Nayyar, his brother Paras, and another individual named Gaurav Sharma.

During the heated exchange, Gaurav Sharma reportedly fired a shot that struck Pankaj Nayyar in the chest.

This altercation took place around 2:20 a.m.

After the shooting, Pankaj was quickly transported to a local private hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Authorities have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Gaurav Sharma, charging him with murder (BNS Section 103(1)), causing bodily harm (Section 115(2)), and actions performed with shared intent (Section 3(5)), in addition to violations of the Arms Act (Sections 25 and 27).

The Preet Vihar Police have taken possession of Pankaj's remains and sent them to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for an autopsy.

Moreover, several police teams have been formed to locate and arrest the suspect as soon as possible.

The investigation is ongoing, with more information expected to emerge.

This incident follows closely on the heels of a double homicide that occurred on April 17 at Tara Apartments in Alaknanda, CR Park, where a father and son were found dead, and another family member was injured in an attack by a neighbor.

The deceased were identified as Rakesh Sood (62) and his son Karan Sood (27), both of whom were declared dead upon arrival at Max Super Speciality Hospital in Saket.

Initial investigations indicated that the attack was motivated by a long-standing feud related to previous disputes. The suspect, identified as Asad, allegedly assaulted the victims with a sharp weapon after a confrontation.

The police have since apprehended the accused.
