Shocking Incident in Gurugram

A distressing incident has emerged from Gurugram, where a 29-year-old man reportedly died due to an overdose of a sex-enhancing drug. According to police reports, the individual was preparing to meet his fiancée but tragically passed away before her arrival. The deceased has been identified as Rohit Lal, originally from Nagpur. Rohit was employed at the 'Quality Council of India' in New Delhi and resided in a PG accommodation in Sector 53 of Gurugram.

The situation came to light on Thursday morning when a colleague arrived at Rohit's room to pick him up. The two regularly commuted to work together. When Rohit failed to answer his phone or open the door after a considerable wait, his colleague grew concerned and promptly alerted the authorities.

Police Statement on the Incident

The police reported that the incident was discovered when Rohit's colleague notified them. The colleague mentioned that they typically traveled to the office together, but on that day, Rohit did not respond to calls or open the door. Upon arrival, officers forced entry into the room, where they found Rohit deceased on the bed. They also discovered several medication and health supplement wrappers in the room.

A senior investigating officer indicated that preliminary investigations suggest Rohit had invited his fiancée over, but he died before she could arrive. Authorities suspect he consumed a sex-enhancing drug, which may have led to a heart attack due to an overdose.

The police conducted a post-mortem examination and have since handed the body over to the family. They have sent the viscera and the recovered drugs to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further analysis.

Ongoing Investigation

SHO Satendra Rawal from Sector 53 stated, "The exact cause of death will be determined once the viscera report is available. We are investigating the case from all angles."
