Heartbreaking Incidents in Madhya Pradesh

In Madhya Pradesh, distressing news has emerged from two different districts following the board exam results. Two students, disheartened by failing their 10th and 12th grades, took drastic actions. One student hanged herself, while the other shot himself.

Impact of Exam Results on Families

While the board exam results brought joy to many students, for some families, it turned into a day of mourning. The shock of failing was too much for one student, who ended her life by hanging, and another who took his life with a gun. These incidents have sent shockwaves throughout the state.

The Pressure on Students

These tragedies highlight not just the sorrow of two families but also the increasing pressure students face regarding exams and results. The dangerous mindset that equates failure with the end of life is starkly illustrated by these events.

Case of a Student from Chhindwara

The first incident occurred in the Mohan Nagar area of Parasia in Chhindwara district. Here, 17-year-old Saniya received her 10th-grade results, failing in three subjects.

Saniya's Final Moments

Upon seeing her results, Saniya immediately went to the bathroom and locked the door. When she did not come out for a long time, her family broke down the door and found her hanging. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she was pronounced dead.

Another Tragic Case from Morena

The second incident took place in Morena district, where 20-year-old Hrithik Dandoti failed all subjects in his 12th grade, leaving him deeply troubled.

Hrithik's Desperate Act

After checking his results, Hrithik went to Kotwal Dam, where he tragically shot himself with a local firearm. Bystanders heard the gunshot and alerted the police, but it was too late to save him.

A Call for Awareness and Support

These incidents serve as a reminder that failing an exam is not the end of the road. The rising mental pressure on students is becoming a significant issue that needs to be addressed promptly. It is crucial for families and society to empower children to overcome failure, ensuring that no one feels compelled to take such drastic measures.
