It was unimaginable for me that the person I left my home for, the one I loved deeply and vowed to live and die with, would turn out to be the killer of my own daughters. This emotional outcry comes from a mother whose twin daughters were tragically murdered by their own father. The incident that unfolded today at Trimurti Apartment in Naubasta has shaken the community to its core.

A Love Story Turned Sour

Reshma, hailing from Siliguri in West Bengal, and Shashi Ranjan Mishra from Bihar, had a love story that culminated in marriage in 2014. Initially, their life together felt like a beautiful dream, but everything changed after the birth of their twin daughters, Riddhi and Siddhi, aged 11. Shashi fell into the depths of addiction, leading to a gradual decline in their relationship filled with suspicion and hatred.

A Prison-Like Home

Reshma tearfully recounted how Shashi transformed their home into a fortress. He installed six CCTV cameras throughout the apartment, monitoring every corner. He had a secret room where Reshma was forbidden to enter, and he would often keep their daughters there, allowing Reshma only to view the activities through the CCTV footage on the television.

A Disturbing Demand

According to Reshma, Shashi frequently became violent under the influence of alcohol, insisting, 'Take the son and go to your parents; I will raise my daughters myself.' On one occasion, when Reshma went to her parents' house, Shashi outright refused to send the daughters with her, fueled by growing suspicions about her character.

The Horrific Discovery

Reshma revealed that around 1:30 AM, she saw one of her daughters on the CCTV heading to the washroom, and everything seemed normal. However, by 4:30 AM, Shashi called the police to confess that he had killed his daughters. When the authorities arrived, they found him sitting next to the bloodied bodies of his daughters, showing no remorse. The motive behind this heinous act remains unclear, but investigations are ongoing.

Seeking Justice

Today, Reshma reflects on her past decisions with regret, recalling the moments in 2014 when she fell in love with Shashi. Holding her son close, her only plea is for justice: she demands the death penalty for the monster who brutally murdered her innocent daughters.
